Hmm, is it a usual way to use macros in a search string? I think it could have undesirable side effects. Spec-cleaner shouldn't change anything in sed.

Feel free to raise your concerns at https://github.com/rpm-software-management/spec-cleaner/issues - I never had any issue with such behavior so I am fine with this behavior.
