Jakarta Contexts and Dependency Injection defines a powerful set of complementary services that help to improve the structure of application code.
Jakarta Expression Language defines an expression language for Java applications.
Jakarta Interceptors defines a means of interposing on business method invocations and specific events—such as lifecycle events and timeout events—that occur on instances of Jakarta EE components and other managed classes.
Tomcat can use the Apache Portable Runtime to provide superior
scalability, performance, and better integration with native server
technologies. The Apache Portable Runtime is a highly portable library
that is at the heart of Apache HTTP Server 2.x. APR has many uses,
including access to advanced IO functionality (such as sendfile, epoll
and OpenSSL), OS level functionality (random number generation, system
status, etc), and native process handling (shared memory, NT pipes and
Unix sockets).
These features allows making Tomcat a general purpose webserver, will
enable much better integration with other native web technologies, and
overall make Java much more viable as a full fledged webserver platform
rather than simply a backend focused technology.

The purpose of the tool is to take a web application written for Java EE 8 that runs on Apache Tomcat 9 and convert it automatically so it runs on Apache Tomcat 10 which implements Jakarta EE 9.
The tool can be used from the command line or as an Ant task.

An exporter for Prometheus which exposes information gathered from Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for use by the Prometheus monitoring system.
There are two components - an exporter which does the actual scraping, and a
generator which creates the configuration for use by the exporter.
