File no-forced-sse.patch of Package webkit2gtk3.25253
From: Jan Engelhardt <jengelh@inai.de> Date: 2020-01-30 14:15:51.612533365 +0100 cmake tests whether the compiler can emit SSE, which is the wrongest of all options. (At the very least, a build system would check the buildhost's actual CPU feature set; while not great, there are convincable usecases for doing that.) Disable unconditional emission of -msse2 into the command line. On x86_64 where SSE2 is always available, gcc already implies -msse2 anyway, so there should not be anything lost by removing this block of makefilery. --- Source/cmake/WebKitCompilerFlags.cmake | 9 --------- 1 file changed, 9 deletions(-) diff -urp webkitgtk-2.36.0.orig/Source/cmake/WebKitCompilerFlags.cmake webkitgtk-2.36.0/Source/cmake/WebKitCompilerFlags.cmake --- webkitgtk-2.36.0.orig/Source/cmake/WebKitCompilerFlags.cmake 2022-03-16 08:48:02.000000000 -0500 +++ webkitgtk-2.36.0/Source/cmake/WebKitCompilerFlags.cmake 2022-03-21 13:20:08.484576747 -0500 @@ -162,15 +162,6 @@ if (COMPILER_IS_GCC_OR_CLANG) WEBKIT_PREPEND_GLOBAL_COMPILER_FLAGS(-Wno-expansion-to-defined) endif () - # Force SSE2 fp on x86 builds. - if (WTF_CPU_X86 AND NOT CMAKE_CROSSCOMPILING) - WEBKIT_PREPEND_GLOBAL_COMPILER_FLAGS(-msse2 -mfpmath=sse) - include(DetectSSE2) - if (NOT SSE2_SUPPORT_FOUND) - message(FATAL_ERROR "SSE2 support is required to compile WebKit") - endif () - endif () - # Makes builds faster.
