From 8bcea2f69d1d68c112ae64889f3b28a076a314d0 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Gregory P. Smith" <greg@krypto.org> Date: Tue, 21 Jun 2022 13:16:57 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] [CVE-2021-28861] fix an open redirection vulnerability in http.server Fix an open redirection vulnerability in the `http.server` module when an URI path starts with `//` that could produce a 301 Location header with a misleading target. Vulnerability discovered, and logic fix proposed, by Hamza Avvan (@hamzaavvan). Code is originally from gh#python/cpython!93879, it was released upstream in 3.7.14. Test and comments authored by Gregory P. Smith [Google].
