commit 0499de5adda26b1ef09660f70c12b4710b5f7c8a Author: Ingo Franzki <ifranzki@linux.ibm.com> Date: Thu Feb 1 15:15:27 2024 +0100 s390x: Add hardware acceleration for HMAC The CPACF instruction KMAC provides support for accelerating the HMAC algorithm on newer machines for HMAC with SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512. Preliminary measurements showed performance improvements of up to a factor of 2, dependent on the message size, whether chunking is used and the size of the chunks.
