.SH DESCRIPTION
The mkwiki.moin command is used to create a new MoinMoin wiki instance inside
DIRECTORY, which is typically a subdirectory of
.IR /srv/moin .
The command creates DIRECTORY and initialises it with the following content:

The wiki configuration file.

.I data
.RS
The directory where user-generated wiki pages, attachments, etc. are stored.

.I underlay
.RS
A directory storing default wiki pages (e.g., the initial LanguageSetup page).

The initial wiki content listed above is a copy of the corresponding skeleton
content stored in
.IR /usr/share/moin .

If DIRECTORY already exists, wiki creation is skipped to avoid corrupting
existing data.

.I /srv/moin

The directory where all wikis served by a standard MoinMoin installation are
kept. Each wiki is stored in its own subdirectory.
