File README.SUSE of Package benno-rest
The Benno MailArchive Packages for openSUSE and SLES are maintained by Stefan Schaefer - FSP Computer & Netzwerke Please submit bugfixes or comments to: Stefan Schaefer <stefan.schaefer@fsproductions.de> For questions about licensing ask: FSP Computer & Netzwerke Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Schäfer Ludwigstr. 1-3 63679 Schotten Fone: ++49 6044 989 0000 Mail: info@fsproductions.de First Start: ---------------------------------------------------------- To start the benno-rest daemon a License-File is necessary. Copy the "benno.lic" named file into the /etc/benno directory. To get the data to create the license-file you have to call the benno-rest init-Script with the parameter "info": benno:~ # rcbenno-rest info Send the output from this call to your benno Partner. Next is to create a "shared-secret" string with 20 chars lenght, uppper- & lower chars and numbers. Using the tool pwgen: benno:~ # pwgen -sn 20 1 Write this string into the files /etc/benno/benno.xml and /etc/benno-web/benno.conf: benno.conf: ... SHARED_SECRET = sharedsecretstring ... benno.xml ... <haredSecret>sharedsecretstring</sharedSecret> ... After this you can start the benno-rest daemon. benno:~ # rcbenno-rest start For technical information see: https://wiki.benno-mailarchiv.de Have a lot of fun.
