FTR: nothing in TW requires/recommends metacity, which is why it was dropped to start with. Is this 'just' considered an optional WM for MATE? or do we just add it back 'to have it and still nobody caring for it and using it'?
Well, yeah, it is considered an optional WM for MATE. And it might even become the recommended one too.
ok, apologies then. We checked on recommended/requires deps and considered it 'useless to keep maintaining it'; otherwise we'd of course simply have asked to transfer it to MATE maintainers.
