This is a collection of applications and tools used by KDE developers.
Important applications are:

* cervisia: for browsing CVS repositories

* kompare: visualizing changes between two versions of a file

* umbrello: UML modeller

A modular software synthesizer that generates realtime audio streams,
includes midi support, is easily extendable, and uses CORBA for
separation of GUI and synthesis.

KBiff docks to the KDE panel (Kicker) and shows incoming e-mail.

BasKet can be used as a manual clipboard. This means that you can drop
files of all kinds inside. They can be grouped in different tabs.

It is also possible to add additional comments to the items or to use
BasKet as a KDE clipboard replacement.

Celestia is a free real-time space simulation that lets you experience
our universe in three dimensions. Unlike most planetarium software,
Celestia does not confine you to the surface of the Earth. You can
travel throughout the solar system to any of over 100,000 stars or even
beyond the galaxy. All travel in Celestia is seamless; the exponential
zoom feature lets you explore space across a huge range of scales, from
galaxy clusters down to spacecraft only a few meters across. A
'point-and-goto' interface makes it simple to navigate through the
universe to the object you want to visit.

This engine is for use by GTK applications running in KDE. It applies
all Qt settings to the GTK application and uses Qt style plug-ins
directly.

All the requirements for a desktop in British English. This package
contains application translations, help files, and screenshots.

KNemo offers a network monitor similar to the one found in Windows. It
displays an icon in the systray for every network interface.

KDE BitTorrent Client

Torrent is a BitTorrent program for KDE3. Its main features are: *
Download of torrent files

* Upload speed capping, seeing that most people cannot upload
infinite amounts of data

* Internet searching using the BitTorrent Web site's search engine

* UDP trackers

SIM - Multiprotocol Instant Messenger

SIM (Simple Instant Messenger) is a plugins-based open- source instant
messenger that supports various protocols (ICQ, Jabber, AIM, MSN, YIM).
It uses the QT library and works on X11 with optional KDE-support.

SIM has a lot of features, many of them are listed at:

KMag: Magnifies a part of the screen. KMouseTool: Clicks the mouse for
you, reducing hand strain. KMouth: The computer "speaks" the entered
text for talking with people. KSayIt: Edit and read documents via KDE
text-to-speech output. KTTSD: The KDE Text To Speech Daemon, which can
be used from any KDE application that uses the interface from kdelibs.

This package contains the KDE window manager and icon themes.

This package contains kdebase, one of the basic packages of the K
Desktop Environment. It contains, among others, kwin (the KDE window
manager), Konqueror (the KDE Web browser), and KControl (the
configuration program)

This package is needed if you want to use the KDE Desktop. It is not
needed if you only want to start some KDE applications.
