Cool Reader is an e-book viewer. Understands a number of text document formats.
Fully customizable palette, text reformatting with any font size, font
antialiasing, extra smooth scrolling and a lot of other features turn reading
into a pleasure.
This is a version with wxWidgets based GUI.
This is a multi-language (modified) version of Cuneiform.
CutyCapt is a Qt and WebKit based command-line utility that captures
WebKit's rendering of a web page into various bitmap, vector, and other
file formats.
DiffPDF is used to compare two PDF files, textually or visually.
Djvubind facilitates creating high-quality djvu files, especially
digital versions of scanned books. It functions as a wrapper that
combines the djvulibre tools, minidjvu, and OCR engines to provide
a simple, single command creation of a DjVu file.
ExactImage is a fast C++ image processing library. Unlike ImageMagick, it allows
operation in several color spaces and bit depths natively, resulting in much
lower memory and computational requirements. Some optimized algorithms operate
in 1/20 of the time ImageMagick requires, and displaying large images can be as
fast as 1/10 of the time the "display" program takes.
This package contains the utilities: bardecode, e2mtiff, econvert, edentify,
empty-page, hocr2pdf, optimize2bw.
extundelete is a utility that can recover deleted files from an ext3 or ext4 partition.
FahMon is an open-source tool (GPL license) that allows you to quickly
check the progress of your Folding@Home client (or clients if you have
multiple), avoiding you having to open different files and/or to go to
the Internet (for example to know how much your current work unit is
worth).
Fontmatrix is a real Linux font manager, available on any platform and as well for KDE (which already had Kfontinstaller) as for Gnome.
It's purpose is to recursively query the fonts (ttf, ps & otf) in the directories you give it to search, sort them quickly, (avoiding bugged or broken ones) and show them.
Foremost is a Linux program to recover files based on their headers and footers.
Foremost can work on image files, such as those generated by dd, Safeback,
Encase, etc, or directly on a drive. The headers and footers are specified by a
configuration file, so you can pick and choose which headers you want to look for.
ftpcopy is a small mirror-like utility to copy files or directory trees
with FTP. ftpcopy understands EPLF and traditional listing formats.
gquilt is a Python script that provides a GUI for quilt and Mercurial using
the PyGTK package.
ISO 9660 Analyzer Tool is a tool for detecting the structure of many types of
CD/DVD image. With ISO 9660 Analyzer Tool you can:
- Create Cuesheet file from image CD/DVD.
- Create TOC file from image CD/DVD.
- Convert image CD/DVD to ISO 9660.
- Debug image.
This is a single-pass DjVu encoder based on DjVu Libre and ImageMagick,
optionally also minidjvu and ocrodjvu plus Cuneiform or Tesseract.
JBIG2 encodes bi-level (1 bpp) images using a number of clever tricks to get
better compression than G4. This encoder can:
* Generate JBIG2 files or fragments for embedding in PDFs.
* Generic region encoding.
* Perform symbol extraction, classification and text region coding.
* Perform refinement coding.
* Compress multipage documents.
KeePassX is a free/open-source password manager or safe which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key-disk. So you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish).
LibPar2 allows for the generation, modification, verification, and repairation
of PAR v1.0 and PAR v2.0(PAR2) recovery sets.
It contains the basic functions needed for working with these sets and is the
basis for GUI applications such as KPar2 and GPar2.
Mediadownloader is a software that lets you search, watch and download items
with Google Image and YouTube. Search results are displayed within a mouse
scrollable view, as well as mobile devices do.
minidjvu is a command line utility which encodes and decodes single page
black-and-white DjVu files, and can compress multiple pages, taking advantage
from similarities between pages.
mkcue generates cue sheets from a CD's TOC (Table Of Contents).
Monica is a small monitor calibration tool.
It works as frontend to xgamma which uses the FLTK library (www.fltk.org).
With Monica you can alter your monitor's gamma on XFree86 or Xorg. The gray and color scales can help you find usable settings. The grey box with lines illustrates a display gamma of 2.2, the sRGB standard gamma.
MultiGet is a HTTP/FTP downloader with a nice GUI for linux/windows/unix
desktop users.
It can run on almost all desktops without any configuration.
It has many powerful functions comparing to others.
MyTetra is an information collecting manager. It is a powerful program
for memoring data and structuring notes.
Capability:
- Infinite ramify tree for notes group.
- Arbitrary sorted notes at his branch.
- Arbitrary sorted branches at parent branch.
- Copy/Paste for notes and branches.
- Customizable trash for recovery lost data.
- WYSIWYG editor.
ocrodjvu is a wrapper for OCR systems, that allows you to perform OCR
on DjVu files.
PStreams allows you to run another program from your C++ application and to
transfer data between the two programs, similar to shell pipelines. The PStreams
class works like a wrapper for the the POSIX.2 functions popen(3) and pclose(3)
(although it doesn't actually use them), using a C++ iostreams interface,
instead of C's stdio library. Thus, PStreams makes it possible to run an
external program and handle its stdin, stdout, and stderr just like you would
handle any other C++ iostream.
