Involved Projects and Packages
This module provides functions for calculating the path to a map tile at OpenStreetMap out of geographic coordinates. The path of a tile at OSM has the form $zoom/$tilex/$tiley.png.
There is also a perl script that downloads all map tiles from an OpenStreetMap tile server for some geographic region in a range of zoom levels. The PNG images of the tiles are stored in a directory tree that mirrors the paths from the server.
Place to move packages that I used to build in my home project, but that I don't need and don't maintain any more.
A collection of tools to manage scientific data
This project collects packages needed and provided by the Research Data Management group at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie.
This Project provides multiple different versions of the Python interpreter. They get installed in /opt/python in such a way that they live next to each other and do not interfere with the native Python package of the respective distribution. This is mainly useful for Python developers to test their code with different Python versions.
Packages for Python 3.11 currently missing in the openSUSE Leap distribution.
The default Python version in openSUSE Leap distributions (15.5 and 15.6) is still Python 3.6, which is a little bit dated, to put it mildly. There are more recent Python versions in the distribution, including Python 3.11. But not all third party packages are yet available for this newer version. The present project aims to fill the gap. Depending on availability, most packages are either modified versions from the distribution or backports from openSUSE Factory.
