Very fast and complete library to render SVG graphics. It provides a
C++ interface.
Dar (Disk Archive) is a hardware-independent backup solution. Dar uses
catalogs (unlike tar),which it makes it possible to extract a single
file without having to read the entire archive. It is also possible to
create incremental backups. Dar archives can also be created or used
with the libdar library (for example, with KDar, a KDE application).
This package contains the command line tools and documentation.
Enblend is a tool for compositing images using a Burt & Adelson
multiresolution spline. This technique tries to make the seams between
the input images invisible. The basic idea is that image features
should be blended across a transition zone, proportional in size to the
spatial frequency of the features. For example, objects like trees and
window panes have rapid changes in color. By blending these features in
a narrow zone, you cannot see the seam because the eye already expects
to see color changes at the edge of these features. Clouds and sky are
the opposite. These features must be blended across a wide transition
zone because any sudden change in color is immediately noticeable.
Fam is a file alteration monitoring service. With it, you can receive
signals when files are created or changed.
This package provides libfam, which is used by KDE and GNOME. It also
provides a tool for the console called fileschanged.
To use fam notifications (it can reduce the network load on NFS
servers, especially if they host user home directories) you need to run
the fam daemon, which can be found in the fam-server package.
This package contains the tools necessary to set up the IBM Advanced
System Management Drivers that are shipped with the SUSE kernel.
OpenSuSE - KIWI Image System InstSource plugins provides information
and plugin code to create meta information for a Novell/SUSE
installation source This particular package contains the metadata
plugins specific for the openSUSE-11.1 targets.

CppUnit is the C++ port of the famous JUnit framework for unit testing.
Test output is in XML for automatic testing and GUI based for
supervised tests.
Theora is a free video codec based on VP3. The package contains the
library that can decode and encode Theora streams. Theora is also able
to playback VP3 streams.
WebM is an open, royalty-free, media file format designed for the web.
WebM defines the file container structure, video and audio formats.
WebM files consist of video streams compressed with the VP8 video codec
and audio streams compressed with the Vorbis audio codec.
The WebM file structure is based on the Matroska container.
The Linux-NTFS project (http://linux-ntfs.sf.net/) aims to bring full
support for the NTFS filesystem to the Linux operating system. The
ntfsprogs package currently consists of a static library and utilities
such as mkntfs, ntfscat, ntfsls, ntfsresize, and ntfsundelete (for a
full list of included utilities see man 8 ntfsprogs after
installation).
osc is checking valid sources on pre-checkin via this package
Parchive creates extra parity data over several volumes. These can be
used to restore the complete archive after some data loss or
corruption.
par is used by Dar.
The Text::Iconv module provides a Perl interface to the iconv() function as
defined by the Single UNIX Specification.
The convert() method converts the encoding of characters in the input string
from the fromcode codeset to the tocode codeset, and returns the result.
Settings of fromcode and tocode and their permitted combinations are
implementation-dependent. Valid values are specified in the system
documentation; the iconv(1) utility should also provide a -l option that lists
all supported codesets.
rzip is a compression program, similar in functionality to gzip or
bzip2, but able to take advantage long distance redundencies in files,
which can sometimes allow rzip to produce much better compression
ratios than other programs.

The drivers for Atmel at76c50x wireless network chips in the Linux 2.6.x kernel
and at http://at76c503a.berlios.de/ do not include the firmware and this
firmware needs to be loaded by the host on most cards using these chips.
This package provides the firmware images that should be automatically loaded
as needed by the hotplug system. It also provides a small loader utility that
can be used to accomplish the same thing when hotplug is not in use.
BRLTTY is a background process (daemon) which provides access to the
Linux/Unix console (when in text mode) for a blind person using a
refreshable braille display. It drives the braille display and provides
complete screen review functionality.
The crda binary provides access to the wireless-regdb to the kernel
through udev.
