A Font for Web and Desktop
Redacted is a font for text to be used as filler. It comes in block and script formats.

Bravura is the reference music font for the Standard Music Font Layout
(SMuFL) specification, fully compliant with SMuFL 1.2.

Terminus Font is designed for long (8 and more hours per day) work with
computers. Version 4.03 contains 538 characters, covering code pages
ISO8859-1/2/5/9/15/16, Windows-1250/1251/1252/1254,
IBM-437/852/855/866, KOI8-R/U/E/F, Bulgarian-MIK, Paratype-PT154/PT254
and Macintosh-Ukrainian, and also the vt100 and xterm pseudographic

The bchunk package contains a UNIX/C rewrite of the BinChunker
program. BinChunker converts a CD image in a .bin/.cue format
(sometimes .raw/.cue) into a set of .iso and .cdr/.wav tracks.
The .bin/.cue format is used by some non-UNIX CD-writing
software, but is not supported on most other CD-writing programs.

Celluloid is a simple GTK+ frontend for MPV.

This is a small program to edit mp3 files without quality loss. Playback is
realized via mpg123, so be sure to have it installed or at least have a
symlink to your favorite mp3 playing program.
You can mark beginning and end of a segment with 'a' and 'b' and save the
segment with 's'.
Beginning with version 0.5 even VBR files are officially supported. Using a
timetable with VBR files will not be as precise as with CBR files, though.

DVBcut is a Qt application that allows you to select certain parts of an MPEG
transport stream (as received via Digital Video Broadcasting, DVB) and save
these parts into a single MPEG output file. It follows a `keyhole surgery''
approach where the input video and audio data is mostly kept unchanged, and
only very few frames at the beginning and/or end of the selected range are re-
encoded in order to obtain a valid MPEG file.

fIcy is a command line icecast/shoutcast stream grabber. Its goal is to cleanly
and automatically rip a stream into user-customizable files. It will work with
any ICY-compatible stream, allowing you to either to save the stream to disk,
pipe the output to a media player, or both.

Adjusts pixel brightness based on screen contents. It dims the screen if it's
too bright (according to user settings) and vice versa.

The gst123 program is designed to be a more flexible command line player akin
to ogg123 and mpg123, but based on gstreamer. It can play all the file formats
supported by gstreamer, like (but not limited to) flac, ogg and mp3.

MDA-LV2 is an LV2 port of the MDA plugins by Paul Kellett. It
contains 36 high-quality plugins for a variety of tasks.

The instrument plugins make use of the new atom:AtomPort to receive
MIDI. Apologies for any inconvenience, but this means they will
only work in modern hosts which have implemented atom-based MIDI.
The effects should work fine in any LV2 host.

Tools to create and manipulate Matroska files (extensions .mkv and
.mka), a new container format for audio and video files. Includes
command line tools mkvextract, mkvinfo, mkvmerge, and a graphical
front-end for them, mkvtoolnix-gui.

mp3_check helps to identify in explicit detail MP3s that do not correctly
follow the MP3 format. It also looks for invalid frame headers, missing frames,
etc., and generates useful statistics. This can be especially important when
building an archive, and you want high quality MP3s.

Maintainer

MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume. It
does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does
some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to
the human ear. Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There
is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file
directly, without decoding and re-encoding.

Media Player Classic Qute Theater

A clone of Media Player Classic reimplemented in Qt.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema is considered by many to be the quintessential media player for the Windows desktop. Media Player Classic Qute Theater (mpc-qt) aims to reproduce most of the interface and functionality of mpc-hc while using libmpv to play video instead of DirectShow.

Qsampler is a LinuxSampler GUI front-end application written in C++ around
the Qt framework using Qt Designer. For the moment it just wraps the client
interface of LinuxSampler Control Protocol (LSCP).

QUIMUP is a client for the music player daemon (MPD) written in C++ and QT5.

The program can be used with most Linux desktops (KDE, GNOME, XFCE) and is covered
by the General Public License: it is free and 'open source'.
The clean interface makes controlling MPD's many features easy and intuitive.
The focus is on mouse handling: playlist management is done entirely by drag-&-drop;
playback functions are directly accessible from the system tray.
Quimup turns MPD into a perfect desktop music player.

Subtitle Editor is a GTK+3 tool to edit subtitles for GNU/Linux/*BSD.
It can be used for new subtitles or as a tool to transform, edit, correct
and refine existing subtitle. This program also shows sound waves, which
makes it easier to synchronise subtitles to voices.
