Apache Lucene is a full-text search engine written entirely in Java.
It offers fuzzy search based on edit (Levenshtein) distance,
incremental indexing, ranked searching, field-based searches and
multi-index searches.
Font-Downloader is an application allows you to search and install fonts
directly from the Google Fonts website.
Amsynth is an analog modelling (a.k.a virtual analog) software synthesizer.
It mimics the operation of early analog subtractive synthesizers with
classic oscillator waveforms, envelopes, filter, modulation and effects.
The aim is to make it easy to create and modify sounds.
Features:
* Dual oscillators (sine / saw / square / noise) with hard sync
* 12/24 dB/oct resonant filter (low-pass / high-pass / band-pass / notch)
* Mono / poly / legato keyboard modes
* Dual ADSR envelope generators (filter & amplitude)
* LFO which can modulate the oscillators, filter, and amplitude
* Distortion and reverb
* Hundreds of presets
There are currently several different ways to run amsynth:
* Stand-alone application using JACK, ALSA or OSS
* DSSI plug-in
* LV2 plug-in
* VST plug-in
fmit is a free musical instrument tuner. It works with JACK, Alsa,
OSS and PortAudio audio input devices. It currently has the
following features:-
* Error history
* Volume history
* Statistics
* Tunning scales
* (Werckmeister III, Kirnberger III, Diatonic and Meantone)
* Microtonal tuning (with Scala file support)
* Harmonic ratios
* Wave shape
* Discrete Fourier Transform view
A podcast application designed for Elementary OS and other GTK-based
Linux desktops. Includes a built-in video player, automatic updating,
smart library management, library importing and exporting, custom
skip intervals, and more.
Davix aims to make file management over HTTP-based protocols simple,
focusing on high-performance remote I/O and data management of
large collections of files. Currently, there is support for the
WebDav, Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, and HTTP protocols.
It provides a C++ library offering an HTTP API, a remote I/O API, and
a POSIX compatibility layer. It also provides several utilities for
file transfer, large collections of files management and large files
management.
The Nextcloud Desktop Client is a tool to synchronise files from
the Nextcloud Server with your computer.
Nextcloud Desktop enables you to connect to your private
Nextcloud Server. With it you can create directories in your home
directory, and keep the contents of those directories synced with
the server. Simply copy a file into the directory and the desktop
synchronisation client does the rest.
OnionCat creates a transparent IP layer on top of Tor's hidden services. It
transmits any kind of IP-based data transparently through the Tor network on a
location hidden basis. You can think of it as a point-to-multipoint VPN between
hidden services.
This package provides a Python extension for Nautilus and its forks Nemo and
Caja to provide shell integration for the ownCloud desktop client for the
GNOME, Cinnamon and MATE desktop environments.
Pan is a Usenet newsreader that's good at both text and binaries.
It supports offline reading, scoring and killfiles, yEnc, NZB, PGP
handling, multiple servers, and secure connections.
easypysmb is a python library that wraps around the pysmb library.
gRPC is a modern, open source, high-performance remote procedure call (RPC)
framework that can run anywhere. gRPC enables client and server applications to
communicate transparently, and simplifies the building of connected systems.
This package provides a python-based Protobuf code generator for gRPC.
pysmb is an experimental SMB/CIFS library written in Python. It implements the client-side SMB/CIFS protocol which allows your Python application to access and transfer files to/from SMB/CIFS shared folders like your Windows file sharing and Samba folders.
Warp allows you to securely send files to each other via the internet or local
network by exchanging a word-based code.
The best transfer method will be determined using the "Magic Wormhole" protocol
which includes local network transfer if possible.
Warpinator is a simple app that allows users to share files across the LAN.
Pidgin Embedded Video is a GTK+ plugin for the Pidgin instant messaging client.
The purpose of this plugin is to provide a faster way to watch videos while chatting with your friends.
No more additional browser windows!
It transforms a simple conversation into a much more attractive and interesting experience.
RocketChat protocol plugin for libpurple-based applications.
This is a building system for LaTeX documents. It is based on a routine that
runs just as many compilations as necessary. The module system provides a
great flexibility that virtually allows support for any package with no user
intervention, as well as pre- and post-processing of the document. The
standard modules currently provide support for bibtex, dvips, dvipdfm, pdftex,
makeindex. A good number of standard packages are supported, including
graphics/graphicx (with automatic conversion between various formats and
Metapost compilation).
Texmaker is a free LaTeX editor, that integrates many tools
needed to develop documents with LaTeX, in just one application.
Texmaker runs on unix, macosx and windows systems and is released
under the GPL license .

Armadillo is a C++ linear algebra library (matrix maths)
aiming towards a good balance between speed and ease of use.
Integer, floating point and complex numbers are supported,
as well as a subset of trigonometric and statistics functions.
Various matrix decompositions are provided through optional
integration with LAPACK and ATLAS libraries.
A delayed evaluation approach is employed (during compile time)
to combine several operations into one and reduce (or eliminate)
the need for temporaries. This is accomplished through recursive
templates and template meta-programming.
This library is useful if C++ has been decided as the language
of choice (due to speed and/or integration capabilities), rather
than another language like Matlab or Octave.
Artha is a free cross-platform English thesaurus that works
completely off-line and is based on WordNet. Stable releases for
download are currently available for GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows;
it is tested on major Desktop Environments like GNOME, KDE, Xfce, etc
and on Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7. Artha is released under the
GNU General Public Licence version 2.
Blitz++ is a C++ class library for scientific computing which provides
performance on par with Fortran 77/90. It uses template techniques to achieve
high performance. Blitz++ provides dense arrays and vectors, random number
generators, and small vectors.
EqualX is a helpful graphical interface to LaTeX programs
GluCat is a library of template classes which model the universal Clifford algebras over the field of real numbers, with arbitrary dimension and arbitrary signature. GluCat implements a model of each Clifford algebra corresponding to each non-degenerate quadratic form up to a maximum number of dimensions.
