Involved Projects and Packages
"Simulation of Urban MObility" (SUMO) is an open source,
highly portable, microscopic multi-modal traffic simulation package
designed to handle large road networks.
TextTest is an open source tool for text-based functional testing.
This means running a program in lots of different ways from the command
line, and using the text output produced as a means of controlling the
behaviour of that application.
This Project contains several packages which might be interesting for educational use.

Squeak Etoys was inspired by LOGO, PARC-Smalltalk, Hypercard,
and starLOGO. It is a media-rich authoring environment with a
simple powerful scripted object model for many kinds of objects
created by end-users that runs on many platforms, and is free
and open source. It includes graphics, images, text, particles,
presentations, web-pages, videos, sound and MIDI, etc.
This is the standard Squeak image as distributed by squeak.org. The Squeak image is split into three interdependent parts,
the .image file, the .changes file, and the .sources file.
Project for testing my packages
This package is based on the package 'fox16' from project 'X11:FOX'.
FOX is a C++-based library for graphical user interface development.
FOX supports modern GUI features such as drag-and-drop, tooltips, tab
books, tree lists, icons, multiple document interfaces (MDI), timers,
idle processing, automatic GUI updating, as well as OpenGL/Mesa for 3D
graphics. Subclassing of basic FOX widgets allows for easy extension
beyond the built-in widgets by application writers.

SWIG is a compiler that attempts to make it easy to integrate C, C++,
or Objective-C code with scripting languages including Perl, Tcl, and
Python. In a nutshell, you give it a bunch of ANSI C/C++ declarations
and it generates an interface between C and your favorite scripting
language. However, this is only scratching the surface of what SWIG
can do--some of its more advanced features include automatic
documentation generation, module and library management, extensive
customization options, and more.
