The Autoconf package contains programs for producing shell scripts that can automatically configure source code.

The Automake package contains programs for generating Makefiles for use with Autoconf.

The Bourne-Again SHell, used as the default shell and in many distributions.

The Binutils package contains a linker, an assembler, and other tools for handling object files.

Aertra System Center provides functionality between the user and the computer, allowing easy access to administration tools. It is not as good as Mandriva Control Center or YaST, but is a start and is under heavy development.

If you're wondering, LINCOM WILL NOT BE BASED OFF OF ANY DISTRIBUTION.
We're getting a buildbot set up for ourselves. But in the meantime, we have to say, that we DO need this because we need to make sure all our packages are buildable and that all the libraries and stuff are installed for a basesystem to operate.
