mkdep constructs Makefile dependency list. It takes a set of flags for the C compiler and a list of C source files as arguments and constructs a set of include file dependencies which are written into the file ".depend".

RUNAWK is a small wrapper for AWK interpreter that helps to write
the standalone programs in AWK. It provides MODULES for AWK
similar to PERL's "use" command and other powerful features.
Dozens of ready to use modules are also provided.

bmake, the NetBSD make(1) tool, is a program designed to simplify the
maintenance of other programs. The input of bmake is a list of specifications
indicating the files upon which the targets (programs and other files) depend.
bmake then detects which targets are out of date based on their dependencies
and triggers the necessary commands to bring them up to date when that happens.

bmake is similar to GNU make, even though the syntax for the advanced features
supported in Makefiles is very different.

mk-configure is a build system written in bmake and POSIX utilities.

This package contains two programs. With dict, you have access to
powerful electronic dictionaries on the Internet. With dictd, you can
set up your own dictionary. To look up, for example, the word 'grunt',
just type "dict grunt" at a command line. See the man pages of dict and
dictd for details.

The libmaa library provides many low-level data structures which are helpful for writing compilers, including hash tables, sets, lists, debugging support, and memory management. Although libmaa was designed and implemented as a foundation for the kheperalong, the data structures are generally applicable to a wide range of programming problems.

The memory management routines are especially helpful for improving the performance of memory-intensive applications.
