Viewer and Converter for Images

GraphicsMagick(TM) provides a powerful image manipulation
andtranslation utility. It is capable of displaying still images and
animations using the X Window system which provides a simple interface
forinteractively editing images, and is capable of importing selected
windows or the entire desktop. GraphicsMagick is one of your choices if
you need a program to manipulate and display images.It can read and
write over 88 image formats, including JPEG, TIFF, WMF, SVG, PNG, PNM,
GIF, andPhoto CD. Besides it allows you to resize, rotate, sharpen,
color reduce, or add special effects to an image and to save the result
to any supported format. GraphicsMagick may be used to create animated
or transparent .gifs, to composite images, to create thumbnail images
and a lot more. If you want to develop your own applications which use
GraphicsMagick code or APIs, you need to install GraphicsMagick-devel
as well.

This package is compiled with Q8, which means that it provides better
performance on 8 bit images and less.

libdbi

The Marionette Collective aka. mcollective is a framework to build server orchestration or parallel job execution systems.

Primarily we'll use it as a means to programmatically execute actions on clusters of servers. In this regard we operate in the same space as tools like Func, Fabric or Capistrano.

We've attempted to think out of the box a bit designing this system by not relying on central inventories and tools like SSH, we're not simply a fancy SSH "for loop". MCollective uses modern tools like Publish Subscribe Middleware and modern philosophies like real time discovery of network resources using meta data and not hostnames. Delivering a very scalable and very fast parallel execution environment.

A high-performance, distributed memory object caching system

Memcached is a high-performance, distributed memory object caching
system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up dynamic
web applications by alleviating database load.

Danga Interactive developed memcached to enhance the speed of
LiveJournal.com, a site which was already doing 20 million+ dynamic
page views per day for 1 million users with a bunch of webservers and a
bunch of database servers. memcached dropped the database load to
almost nothing, yielding faster page load times for users, better
resource utilization, and faster access to the databases on a memcache
miss.

Flapjack is a scalable and distributed monitoring system. It natively talks the Nagios plugin format, and can easily be scaled from 1 server to 1000.

Flapjack tries to adhere to the following tenets:

Icinga is a program that will monitor hosts and services on your
network. It has the ability to email or page you when a problem arises
and when a problem is resolved. Icinga is written in C and is
designed to run under Linux (and some other *NIX variants) as a
background process, intermittently running checks on various services
that you specify.

This package provides include files that Icinga-related applications
may compile against.
