ACPID is a completely flexible, totally extensible daemon for
delivering ACPI events. It listens to a file (/proc/acpi/event) and,
when an event occurs, executes programs to handle the event. The start
script loads all needed modules.

Configure it in /etc/sysconfig/powermanagement.

AIDE is an intrusion detection system that checks file integrity.

Cabinet (.CAB) files are a form of archive, which Microsoft uses to
distribute their software and things like Windows Font Packs.
cabextract can be used to unpack these files.

Camsource grabs images from a video4linux device (webcam or TV card).
It is modular and has several plug-ins for modifying the image before
displaying it via HTTP or FTP upload.

This is a set of tools that detect rootkit (a program that hides the
presence of attackers) symptoms on a system. Rootkits can hide using
kernel modules, but they always leave some small traces that can be
detected with this program. However, it is always recommended to use
this program from a rescue system or a system with a similar purpose.

Compartment provides all possibilities (chroot, kernel capabilities)
for securely running insecure or untrusted programs. It provides all
necessary options to fine-tune the security tightening process as
needed.

Delay accounting allows the administrator to track the time an
application spends waiting on disk I/O, swap I/O and CPU scheduling.
This can help pin-point resource shortages in a system configuration.

A stacked cryptographic filesystem for Linux.

Photobooth like application supporting libgphoto2 cameras. (for webcams look at cheese)

eSpeak is a compact open source software speech synthesizer for English
and other languages.

eSpeak uses a "formant synthesis" method. This allows many languages to
be provided in a small size. The speech is clear, and can be used at
high speeds, but is not as natural or smooth as larger synthesizers
which are based on human speech recordings.

EtherApe is a graphical network monitor for Unix, modeled after
etherman. Featuring link layer, IP, and TCP modes, it displays network
activity graphically. Hosts and links change in size with traffic.
Various protocols are color coded in the display. It supports ethernet,
FDDI, token ring, ISDN, PPP, and SLIP devices. It can filter traffic to
show and can read traffic from a file as well as live from the network.

This package contains the fetchmsttfonts helper script, which on
running retrieves and unpacks the freely available MS Truetype fonts.

This tool contains simple GTK interface for viewing EXIF information
within JPEG images created by some digital cameras.

gPhoto (GNU Photo) is a command line tool for previewing, retrieving,
and capturing images from a range of supported digital cameras to your
local hard drive. It does not support digital cameras based on the USB
storage protocol, because those can be mounted by Linux directly. Find
the list of supported cameras at the following URL:

http://gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php

or by running

gphoto2 --list-cameras

This package provides a fuse module to make digital cameras supported
by libgphoto2 visible as a file system.

GTKam is a GTK and GNOME based tool for accessing a digital camera,
viewing thumbnails, and downloading pictures from the camera.

Imlib2 is an advanced replacement library for libraries like libXpm
that provides many more features with much greater flexibility and
speed than standard libraries, including font rasterization, rotation,
RGBA space rendering and blending, dynamic binary filters, scripting,
and more.

Provides a suite of utilities to manage and configure SCSI devices
supported by the ipr SCSI storage device driver.

kbdsniffd is a keyboard grabber daemon applications like screenreaders
(sbl) can connect via network socket to the daemon and set a modifier
key to enable the grabbing mode if the modifier key is pressed all
key-strokes are send to the connected application this is useful if a
blind user wants to use a screenreader without a braille display the
grabbed keys can be used to trigger special screenreader functions

Utilities to control the kernel key management facility and to provide
a mechanism by which the kernel can call back to user space to get a
key instantiated.

The libelf package contains a library for accessing ELF object files.
Libelf allows you to access the internals of the ELF object file
format, so you can see the different sections of an ELF file.

The libevent library provides a mechanism to execute a function when a
specific event on a file descriptor occurs or after a given time has
passed.

This library is used to parse EXIF information from JPEGs created by
digital cameras.

This library contains GTK widgets for viewing EXIF information within
JPEG images created by some digital cameras.

gPhoto (GNU Photo) is a set of libraries for previewing, retrieving,
and capturing images from a range of supported digital cameras to your
local hard drive. It does not support digital cameras based on the USB
storage protocol. Those can be mounted by Linux directly.

As of this time, gPhoto supports around 1200 cameras, listed on:

http://gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php

or by running

gphoto2 --list-cameras
