vi. Almost every possible command can be performed using only ASCII
characters. Only the 'Q' command is missing (you do not need it). Many
new features have been added: multilevel undo, command line history,
file name completion, block operations, and editing of binary data.

Vi is available for the AMIGA, MS-DOS, Windows NT, and various versions
of UNIX.

For SUSE Linux, Vim is used as /usr/bin/vi.

are programs which perform specific tasks. Generally execution time is not
critical, but rapid development is. Using an interpreter the compile and link
cycle is dramatically reduced facilitating rapid development. CINT makes C/C++
programming enjoyable even for part-time programmers.

LLVM is a compiler infrastructure designed for compile-time,
link-time, runtime, and idle-time optimization of programs from
arbitrary programming languages.

The compiler infrastructure includes mirror sets of programming
tools as well as libraries with equivalent functionality.

Open Semantic Collaboration Architecture Foundation (OSCAF) ontologies
and reference code development. This project is used by maintainers from
open source projects to maintain standards for the interoperability of
desktop and web applications.

A full-featured C library optimized for size. uClibc (pronounced

withlock is a locking wrapper script to make sure that some program isn't run more than once. It is ideal to prevent periodic jobs spawned by cron from stacking up.

The locks created are valid only while the wrapper is running, and thus will never require a cleanup, as after a reboot. Thus, the wrapper is safe and easy to use, and much better than implementing half-hearted locking within scripts.
