OptiPNG is a PNG optimizer that recompresses image files to a smaller
size, without losing any information. This program also converts
external formats (BMP, GIF, PNM; TIFF support is coming up) to
optimized PNG, and performs PNG integrity checks and corrections.
HTML::Encoding helps to determine the encoding of HTML and XML/XHTML documents.
Packaged by Sierk Bornemann.
HTML::Tidy is an HTML checker in a handy dandy Perl object. Its meant
as a replacement for HTML::Lint.
SGML::Parser::OpenSP provides a native Perl interface, written in C++
and XS, to the OpenSP SGML and XML parser.

String::Approx lets you match and substitute strings approximately.
With this you can emulate errors: typing errorrs, speling errors,
closely related vocabularies (colour color),
genetic mutations (GAG ACT), abbreviations (McScot, MacScot).
NOTE: String::Approx suits the task of string matching,
not string comparison, and it works for strings, not for text.

A smart chess playing program which uses opening book.
This is the GUI version of ProZilla. It uses libprozilla and the GUI is
created and designed with the Fast Light Tool Kit (fltk).
ProZilla is a download accelerator program written for Linux to speed
up the normal file download process. It often gives speed increases of
around 200% to 300%. It supports both the FTP and HTTP protocols, and
the theory behind it is very simple. The program opens multiple
connections to a server, and each of the connections downloads a part
of the file, thus defeating existing Internet congestion prevention
methods which slow down a single connection based download.

SLIB is a portable Scheme library providing compatibility and utility
functions for all standard Scheme implementations.
With minimal effort, LCLint can be used as a better lint. If
additional effort is invested adding annotations to programs, LCLint
can perform stronger checks than can be done by any standard lint.
The mission of the Scientific and Technical Information Exchange (STIX) font
creation project is the preparation of a comprehensive set of fonts that serve
the scientific and engineering community in the process from manuscript
creation through final publication, both in electronic and print formats.
This package includes base Unicode fonts containing most glyphs for standard
use.
This package contains the talk client, which allows you to chat with
another user on a different system. Talk is a communication program
which copies lines from one terminal to that of another user.
tcptraceroute is a traceroute implementation using TCP SYN packets,
instead of the more traditional UDP or ICMP ECHO packets. In doing so,
it is able to trace through many common firewall filters.
The Thai TrueType fonts included here are Norasi and Garuda from the
National Font project.
This package contains the library and support programs for the TIFF
image format.
TRE is a lightweight, robust, and efficient POSIX compatible regexp
matching library with some exciting features such as approximate
matching.

The 'units' program converts quantities expressed in various scales to
their equivalents in other scales.
Units can also convert temperature values (Fahrenheit to Celsius, for
example) but this needs a slightly different input syntax. See the man
page for details.
UPX is a free, portable, extendable, high-performance executable packer
for several different executable formats. It achieves an excellent
compression ratio and offers very fast decompression. Your executables
suffer no memory overhead or other drawbacks.

wdiff compares two files and finds which words have been deleted or
added to old_file to get new_file. A word is considered to be anything
between whitespace.
Xwdiff is a handy X Window System front-end, based on Tcl/Tk.
This is an XBase (dBase and FoxPro, for example) compatible C++ class
library.
This package contains header files, a library, some command line tools,
and developer documentation.
Xdelta is a binary delta generator and RCS replacement library. The
delta algorithm is faster than GNU diff for text files and works on
binary files, too.
