Graphical user interfaces for the shp2pgsql and pgsql2shp tools.
shp2pgsql and pgsql2shp are part of the PostGIS package.
PostGIS spatially enables the PostgreSQL database.

A graphical user interface for the PostGIS shapefile loader shp2pgsql.
The GUI wraps around the command line interface of shp2pgsql.

This package is based on the package 'libproj4' from project 'hamradio'.

This package is based on the package 'libproj4' from project 'Application:Geo'.

This package offers commandline tools and a library for performing respective
forward and inverse transformation of cartographic data to or from cartesian
data with a wide range of selectable projection functions.

This package is based on the package 'postgis' from project 'Application:Geo'.

PostGIS adds support for geographic objects to the PostgreSQL object-relational
database. In effect, PostGIS "spatially enables" the PostgreSQL server,
allowing it to be used as a backend spatial database for geographic information
systems (GIS), much like ESRI's SDE or Oracle's Spatial extension. PostGIS
follows the OpenGIS "Simple Features Specification for SQL" and will be
submitted for conformance testing at version 1.0.

This package is based on the package 'shapelib' from project 'hamradio'.

The Shapefile C Library provides the ability to write simple C programs for
reading, writing and updating (to a limited extent) ESRI Shapefiles, and the
associated attribute file (.dbf).
