Involved Projects and Packages

Glitz is an OpenGL image compositing library. Glitz provides
Porter/Duff compositing of images and implicit mask generation for
geometric primitives, including trapezoids, triangles, and rectangles.
The semantics of Glitz are designed to precisely match the
specification of the X Render extension. Glitz not only implements X
Render features, like component alpha and image transformations, but
also support for additional features like convolution filters and color
gradients, which are not currently part of the X Render specification.
The performance and capabilities of Glitz are very dependent on
thegraphics hardware. Glitz does not in any way handle software
fallbacks when graphics hardware is insufficient. However, it will
report if any requested operation cannot be carried out by thegraphics
hardware, making a higher level software layer responsible for
appropriate actions.

This package is based on the package 'hdf5' from project 'science'.

HDF5 is a general purpose library and file format for storing scientific data.
HDF5 can store two primary objects: datasets and groups. A dataset is
essentially a multidimensional array of data elements, and a group is a
structure for organizing objects in an HDF5 file. Using these two basic
objects, one can create and store almost any kind of scientific data
structure, such as images, arrays of vectors, and structured and unstructured
grids. You can also mix and match them in HDF5 files according to your needs.

This package is based on the package 'java-1_5_0-sun-i386' from project 'Java:jpackage-1.7'.

The Java 5 SDK is a development environment for building applications,
applets, and components using the Java programming language.

The Java 5 SDK includes tools useful for developing and testing
programs written in the Java programming language and running on the
Java platform. These tools are designed to be used from the command
line. Except for the appletviewer, these tools do not provide a
graphical user interface.

This package is based on the package 'littler' from project 'home:dsteuer'.

A scriptable frontend to R

Magic is a venerable VLSI layout tool.

This package is based on the package 'MozillaThunderbird' from project 'openSUSE:Factory'.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a redesign of the Mozilla Mail component. It is
written using the XUL user interface language and designed to be
cross-platform. It is a stand-alone application instead of part of the
Mozilla application suite.

This package is based on the package 'NetworkManager-pptp' from project 'home:hgraeber'.

NetworkManager-openvpn provides VPN support to NetworkManager for PPTP

Ngspice is a mixed-level/mixed-signal circuit simulator.

This package is based on the package 'R-base' from project 'home:dsteuer'.

Integration of R into the OpenSuSE framework

This package is based on the package 'rkward' from project 'home:dsteuer'.

rkward provides a nice KDE GUI for R

Swarm is a platform for agent-based models (ABMs) that includes:
* A conceptual framework for designing, describing, and conducting experiments on ABMs;
* Software implementing that framework and providing many handy tools; and
* A community of users and developers that share ideas, software, and experience.

Any packages related to programming, development, compiling, etc.

This package is based on the package 'byacc' from project 'home:peternixon'.

Byacc (Berkeley Yacc) is a public domain LALR parser generator which is used by many programs during their build process.

ClearSilver is a fast, powerful, and language-neutral HTML template system.
In both static content sites and dynamic HTML applications, it provides a
separation between presentation code and application logic which makes
working with your project easier.

Along with the OpenIB kernel drivers, libdat and libdapl provides a
userspace RDMA API that supports DAT 1.2 specification

GNU Fortran 77 Compiler

This is a Fortran 77-only compiler based on GCC 3.3.5. It can be used
for source not yet compilable by the gcc-fortran package that contains
the new gfortran compiler.

libibcommon provides common utility functions for the IB diagnostic and
management tools

libibumad provides the user MAD library functions which sit on top of
the user MAD modules in the kernel. These are used by the IB diagnostic
and management tools, including OpenSM

libibverbs is a library that allows userspace processes to use
InfiniBand "verbs" as described in the InfiniBand Architecture
Specification. This includes direct hardware access for fast path
operations.

RDMA cm library

Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) solver lpsolve solves pure linear,
(mixed) integer/binary, semi-continuous and special ordered sets (SOS) models.

This package is based on the package 'mpi-selector' from project 'OFED:1.3'.

This package is based on the package 'openmpi' from project 'openSUSE:Factory'.

Open MPI is a project combining technologies and resources from several
other projects (FT-MPI, LA-MPI, LAM/MPI, and PACX-MPI) in order to
build the best MPI library available.

This RPM contains all the tools necessary to compile, link, and run
Open MPI jobs.

PHP5 Core Files

This package contains the PHP5 core files, including PHP binary (CLI)
and PHP configuration (php.ini). This package must be installed in
order to use PHP. Additionally, extension modules and server modules
(e.g. for Apache) may be installed.

Additional documentation is available in package php-doc.

This package is based on the package 'python-sqlite2' from project 'devel:languages:python'.

This packages allows you to use sqlite2 with python.
sqlite2 is a simple database engine.
