This project is used by sndirsch to prepare packages for openSUSE:Factory submissions. Usually all package changes should get submitted here for review and testing first.
Freeglut is a completely open source alternative to the OpenGL Utility
Toolkit (GLUT) library. GLUT was originally written by Mark Kilgard to
support the sample programs in the second edition OpenGL Redbook. Since
then, GLUT has been used in a wide variety of practical applications
because it is simple, universally available, and highly portable.
GLUT (and freeglut) allow the user to create and manage windows
containing OpenGL contexts and also read the mouse, keyboard, and
joystick functions on a wide range of platforms.
The package contains the userspace interface to the kernel DRM
services.
This package contains the libvdpau wrapper library and the libvdpau_trace
debugging library, along with the header files needed to build VDPAU
applications. To actually use a VDPAU device, you need a vendor-specific
implementation library. Currently, this is always libvdpau_nvidia. You can
override the driver name by setting the VDPAU_DRIVER environment variable.
This package contains the X.Org Xi library.
Mesa is a 3-D graphics library with an API which is very similar to
that of OpenGL.* To the extent that Mesa utilizes the OpenGL command
syntax or state machine, it is being used with authorization from
Silicon Graphics, Inc.(SGI). However, the author does not possess an
OpenGL license from SGI, and makes no claim that Mesa is in any way a
compatible replacement for OpenGL or associated with SGI. Those who
want a licensed implementation of OpenGL should contact a licensed
vendor.
Please do not refer to the library as MesaGL (for legal reasons). It's
just Mesa or The Mesa 3-D graphics library.

Widget library for Mesa.
This little thingy allows you to start X with NumLock turned on ( which
is a feature that a lot of people seem to miss and nobody really knew
how to achieve this ). This code relies on X extensions called XTest
and XKB, so you need to have at least one of these X extensions
installed ( you most probably do ).
Patchutils contains a collection of tools for manipulating patch files:
interdiff, combinediff, filterdiff, fixcvsdiff, rediff, lsdiff, and
splitdiff. You can use interdiff to create an incremental patch between
two patches that are against a common source tree. Combinediff can be
used for creating a cumulative diff from two incremental patches.
Filterdiff is for extracting or excluding patches from a patch set
based on modified files matching shell wildcards. Lsdiff lists modified
files in a patch. Rediff corrects hand-edited patches.
RCS, the Revision Control System, manages multiple revisions of files.
RCS can store, retrieve, log, identify, and merge revisions. It is
useful for files that are frequently revised, for example: programs,
documentation, graphics, and papers.
Utility to set some display properties during server runtime.
With 'testgart', you can check if your machine has agpgart support.
transset manipulates the _NET_WM_WINDOW_OPACITY property to make
windows transparent.
Uisp is a tool for avr microcontrollers and drives many hardware
in-system programmers. Uisp allows you to programm your microcontroller
through the parallel port of your computer.
Some useful tools for the X Window System.
The X Keyboard Extension essentially replaces the core protocol
definition of keyboard. The extension makes possible to clearly and
explicitly specify most aspects of keyboard behaviour on per-key basis
and to more closely track the logical and physical state of the
keyboard. It also includes a number of keyboard controls designed to
make keyboards more accessible to people with physical impairments.

This package contains the legacy version of the Intel X.Org driver which does
not require KMS.
The nouveau project aims to build high-quality, open source drivers for nVidia
cards. “Nouveau” [nuvo] is the French word for “new”.
radeonhd is the X.org X11 driver for AMD GPG (ATI) r5xx/r6xx chipsets.
Main development is driven by Novell, in close relationship to AMD
which provides free documentation for the chipsets.
