Why not enable CONFIG_LRU_GEN_ENABLED?

It's too new and shows performance degradation under some loads. You can enable it by a kernel parameter so far. You can open a bug to track this. We will reconsider later.

Thanks for the reply. I personally noticed performance improvement but following upstream sounds good.
I just enabled it with tmpfiles and called it a day.
