Python-based build system
Meson is a build system designed to optimise programmer productivity.
It aims to do this by providing support for software development tools and practices, such as unit tests, coverage reports, Valgrind, CCache and the like.
Supported languages include C, C++, Fortran, Java, Rust.
Build definitions are written in a non-turing complete Domain Specific Language.

I don't know if it's good practice to branch someone else's package for this, but this is a version of Meson that works with slightly newer Elementary packages (Files and Camera). I would've branched an older version of the official package, but the spec file was broken release after release so I couldn't do it unfortunately. If you plan on using an older version of meson without having to use someone's home: repository, use version 0.59.4. If you do plan on using the newest meson version, some packages won't compile, especially starting with version 1.30.0. I wish to see Pantheon on OpenSUSE thrive, and it is sad to realize it won't get updated anymore, but I understand that is this is mostly a one-man project and I commend you for it. I appreciate all the work you've put for the past decade and I hope you're doing well. Take care!
