Vim-fork focused on extensibility and agility

Edit Package neovim

Neovim is a refactor - and sometimes redactor - in the tradition of Vim, which itself derives from Stevie. It is not a rewrite, but a continuation and extension of Vim. Many rewrites, clones, emulators and imitators exist; some are very clever, but none are Vim. Neovim strives to be a superset of Vim, notwithstanding some intentionally removed misfeatures; excepting those few and carefully-considered excisions, Neovim is Vim. It is built for users who want the good parts of Vim, without compromise, and more.

  1. After updating version 0.10, an error occurred when opening the Lua file: no parser for 'lua' language, see :help treesitter-parsers.
  2. In the generated neovim lang package, there is no Chinese translation, but in the source code, I can see that there is zh_cN.UTF-8.po

  1. Can't confirm with a neovim with an empty config
strace -f -o out nvim -u none
# inside neovim - this loads the lua.so - "go" for example returns an error
:lua vim.print(vim.treesitter.language.inspect("lua"))
# to prove neovim can open an installed tresitter parser grep lua.so out

  1. Can confirm, there's a problem during a build causing the translation to get skipped. Was not able to solve it yet.
[ 49s] removing translation /usr/share/locale/zh_CN.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/nvim.mo: <stdin>:5943: duplicate message definition...
[ 49s] <stdin>:997: ...this is the location of the first definition

I think the comment is before I fixed the issue with the new dependencies (runtime and make).

tbf, no idea why the chinese translations were missing. I never fixed anything in that regard, but now they are available, so...
