a new package: sendxmpp is a perl-script to send xmpp (jabber) messages, similar to what mail(1) does for mail. The project's homepage is http://sendxmpp.platon.sk/ It's using CVS for code management. The program has been around since about 2004. It's included in Fedora and Debian distributions. It's licensed under GPLv2.
