GIF/TIFF/JPEG/PostScript Image Viewer
XV is an interactive image viewer for the X Window System. XV displays
images in GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PBM, PGM, PPM, X Window System bitmap,
Utah Raster Toolkit RLE, PDS/VICAR, Sun Rasterfile, BMP, PCX, IRIS RGB,
XPM, Targa, XWD, possibly PostScript, and PM formats on workstations
and terminals running the X Window System Version 11.
XV can also manipulate pictures. It can zoom in and out, rotate, and
flip them. It also provides a wide variety of operations to modify
colors.
It is one of the most famous programs for Linux.
The documentation can be found in /usr/share/doc/packages/xv/.

use.

- Update to 6.0.2 (2024-10-15) based on xv-3.10a * Added -isize option to control the icon size in the browser. The syntax is -isize <width> or -isize <width>x<height> If the height is omitted, it defaults to the width * 3/4. * xv now checks the XV_OPTIONS environment variable before reading the command line. xv splits it into words and parses it like command line options. Use XV_OPTIONS to set default options. - Remove patch leaks-a1e2dc8.patch now upstream - Correct offsets in patches * xv-3.10a-overflow.dif * xv-3.10a.dif
