Why have you removed the repo for openSUSE_Leap_42.3? openSUSE_Leap_42.3 is still a supported release. Would it be possible to add openSUSE_Leap_42.3 again. Thanks!

Urs Beyerle's avatar

Could you please add openSUSE_Leap_15.1? Thanks!

is this repo abandoned?

Michael Kromer's avatar

no. as you can see with updated x2goclient, for example.

Hi, I am unable to install on OpenSUSE 15.2. First missing makepasswd so after adding the utilities repo, next it complained about Problem: nothing delivers x2goagent

At the moment one must apparently get makepasswd somewhere else:

zypper ar obs://home:mayerjosua:honeycomb makepasswd

zypper refresh

zypper in makepasswd

So this seems to work:

zypper ar obs://home:jsegitz:x2go x2go

zypper ar obs://home:mayerjosua:honeycomb makepasswd

zypper refresh

zypper in makepasswd

zypper in x2goserver

Thanks - it worked for me. one question though: Is home:mayerjosua:honeycomb makepasswd the same directory as repositories/X11:/RemoteDesktop:/x2go/openSUSE_Leap_15.2/ I was under the impression that my above comment was posted in the latter.

Could you please add leap 15.5 ? Thank you

Tristan Miller's avatar

Seems to have been added by someone else (Jan?). I also re-added Leap 15.4, which is still under support but had been removed from the build repositories for this project.

For some reason x2go seems to be removed from Tumbleweed now as a distribution upgrade wants to remove all of the x2go related packages. Does anyone know if its related to the broken builds or some other issue?

Tristan Miller's avatar

I can't reproduce this issue. zypper dup from Tumbleweed 20230911-0 to 20230913-0 shows no packages to be removed. Can you confirm you're using the repository at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/RemoteDesktop:/x2go/openSUSE_Tumbleweed and not the X2Go project's own repository at http://packages.x2go.org/opensuse/tumbleweed/heuler/ ?

Justin Paulsen's avatar

I'm using the base, is that not this one? Information for package x2goserver: ----------------------------------- Repository : [@System](https://build.opensuse.org/users/System) Name : x2goserver Version : 4.1.0.3-6.1 Arch : x86_64 Vendor : obs://build.opensuse.org/X11 Installed Size : 365.4 KiB Installed : Yes Status : up-to-date Source package : x2goserver-4.1.0.3-6.1.src Upstream URL : https://x2go.org/ Summary : X2Go Server and Tools

Sorry, for some reason the line breaks are being ignored.

Tristan Miller's avatar

I'm not sure where you cut and pasted that text from. What's the output of the following command line? rpm -qi x2goserver | grep Distribution

Justin Paulsen's avatar

It was the output from zypper info x2goserver.

Distribution: X11:RemoteDesktop:x2go / openSUSE_Tumbleweed

Tristan Miller's avatar

Same as me, then. In that case, I'm afraid I can't reproduce the problem.

I ended up removing all of the packages, really just letting dup do it, with the thought of just re-installing after. Well, no packages found. For some reason it seems like the repo just up and disappeared, no idea how. Anyway, adding the repo back in addressed the issue.

Sorry to have taken up your time with it. I should have verified the repo during my initial troubleshooting.
