This project is mostly just the same as server:messaging; however, as Leap 15.4 and 15.5 tend to provide too old versions of some packages needed to build telegram-desktop, I link those packages from the openSUSE:Factory area here to ensure the package can still be built for the older distributions.

In case you are on Leap and want to use the packages built here, you should run the following commands:

• zypper ar https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/manfred-h:/server:/messaging/$releasever home:manfred-h:server:messaging
• zypper ref
• zypper dup --allow-vendor-change --from home:manfred-h:server:messaging

This will pull in all upgraded packages needed by the telegram-desktop package. It should be noted that this is needed only once. In case other packages need to be added for building telegram-desktop, I'll post such changes here again.

The package telegram-desktop newer than version 4.8.4 no longer builds for any Leap release. I have therefore stopped to build any back ported packages. If you need to use telegram-desktop on Leap, I suggest you take the officially built packages for Linux from Github, e.g. https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/releases/download/v4.9.9/tsetup.4.9.9.tar.xz for version 4.9.9
