Cool, I believe with this version of glib2, we can drop nautilus-revert-extra-large-thumbnails.patch from the nautilus package, thanks to commit 5d50470 being merged with this milestone.

I have been testing this out (glib2 2.74.0 + commit 5d50470 + unpatched nautilus) over at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/home:badshah400:boo1203697 and thumbnail generation is back.
Please sub a "clean" nautilus to GNOME:Next :-) and lets test it
