You should be using iris instead on new GPUs. FreeBSD claims it's starting with generation 0100: https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel/files/patch-prefer-iris?id=5c430b858589919a9074afc86ef818a030ec1f81

Thanks! Indeed. This makes sense. This is how it's also handled in Mesa and for modesetting driver. I'll rework this.
