Hello,
I, hereby - yet again, am submitting a package, Koi
, a utility for managing automatic (daylight/nightlight) switching between Light/Dark Themes on the KDE Plasma desktop to 'official' SUSE repositories.
I am willing to be maintaining this program until it exists as I find it very useful using it myself.
Thank you for any response, Martin from Liberec, Czechia
It is for a strange reason not publishing the built package in SUSE Software:
- The desktop-file-utils recommends is probably unneeded.
Issues mentioned earlier and still present:
The package wasn't renamed to lowercase koi
Remove the _service file (and use
osc service mr download_files
instead)make all / make install all lines are not needed
%cmake_install INSTALL_ROOT=%{buildroot}
→%cmake_install
1) Changed desktop-file-utils
from Recommends:
to Suggests:
2) It was not specified if it was meant to be renamed in .SPEC
file in Package's repository
3) Done,
I had no clue what other options are, especially when there is lack of extensive autocompletions in the Fish shell.
4) Removed, but now no more building . . . so I do not know . . .
5) (^_^)
1/ Changing to suggests still looks incorrect. why do you think you need it at runtime?
2/ the spec and changes file have to match the package name (except in certain cases)
4/ in your %install section, change cd src/build
to cd src
. To see what %cmake_install does, you can run rpm -E %cmake_install
or open /usr/lib/rpm/macros.d/macros.cmake.
You can also check how rpm will interpret your spec file with rpmspec -P koi.spec
Thank you, will use it next time with another packaging. ;-)
1] I thought it is needed or recommended because the original author of the program included it among other dependencies into PKGBUILD
file . . .
2] I see - I saw how it was not publishing the package/s correctly.
4] DONE, that did the ""trick"" . . . -- Thank you for the tips & hints as it is fairly difficult to search for everything via Google
The changelog needs some reformatting, Check https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Creating_a_changes_file_(RPM)#Changelog_section_(%changelog)

It's now the third time we ask to remove desktop-file-utils from dependencies, it's not needed.
Neither is xsettingsd. I'll accept the request and clean unused dependencies
