- Remove build dependency on msgpack (this was dropped
and replaced by "cmp" in the 0.2.18 release)
- Use standardized cmake build macros

a. because it was off before b. because it produces libmisc_tools.so

Did you read the comment right above the SHARED_LIBS:BOOL=OFF?
