What's the reason for this? In SLE15-SP5, virtiofsd is still part of the qemu-tools subpackage. AFAICT, the virtiofsd package would just not be installable (due to conflict with qemu-tools) or, if actually installed, will cause all the other tools and programs that come with qemu-tools (qemu-img, qemu-bridge-helper, qemu-storage-daemon) to disappear from the system, which I'm sure is not something we want!

The background is the update of virtme to virtme-ng version 1.18, which fails the install test (example [0]) because virtiofsd is missing.

I do not see a virtiofsd rpm after a quick look. Would it be possible to pull the qemu subpackage instead ?
Exactly the point. virtiofsd does not have it's own standalone package, in SLE 15.5 and below. It is part of the qemu-tools package. So, as discussed in chat, if virtme needs virtiofsd, it needs to depend on virtiofsd on 15.6 and Tumbleweed and on qemu-tools on 15.5 and earlier
