plocate is vastly superior (speed and database size) to mlocate while still being compatible. Mlocate is not developed since years, most major distributions switched to plocate a long time ago.
The idea is to replace mlocate eventually. So this SR is to add plocate to Leap 15.6, with the intention to remove mlocate afterwards, some day.
Submitting against openSUSE:Leap:15.6, as openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP6 is not possible due to conflicts with mlocate. So this is Leap-only.

I'm quite surprised that we don't have plocate in distribution yet.
because we have mlocate in SLE15, we can't replace mlocate... and here the Leap project is the right place for plocate, see https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1116630 we should ship plocate in Leap only.
