Thank you for your patience and feedback, much apprichiated! With the pkgconfig, I don't get the problem. Looks like the other packages and the BuildRequires is there.
Having looked a bit more closely, the issue is the installation of libs and pkgconfig file going into /usr/lib instead of /usr/lib64 as they should for 64 bit archs like x86_64.
This is a major problem and should be fixed, as the pkgconfig file is meaningless otherwise

Thanks for the sr. However, libs and pkgconfig files must be installed to `%_libdir`, not `%prefix/lib` as I mentioned in the comment for the superseded request. I hope this does not discourage you from submitting a fixed sr, and I look forward to reviewing and accepting one.
