Overview
Ditch Provides: %{name} = %{version}
and it's good. (The shared library is discoverable via automatic rpm findreqprov already.)
No. It's needed.
Then someone is doing something wrong where that provides is Required.
I want not use Requires: libdatachannel0_19 I want use Requires: libdatachannel >= 0.19.3
obs-studio.rpm already has a Require on libdatachannel.so.0.19()(64bit)
. While that does not encode 0.19.3 specifically, by standard interpretations of version numbers, 0.19.3 is compatible with 0.19, so this ought to be fine. (if it isn't, they should rethink their versioning)
Where is obs-studio building? Not in devel or factory. And not in packman. Only in community! Primarie by me!
I'm preparing a submission of OBS Studio 30.0.2 from home:frispete/obs-studio to Multimedia/obs-studio on Packman as soon as we get this library and plog sorted out!
I don't want to disparage anyone, but the version on Packman is not the best. Old external or missing libs and missing functions. I don't understand why this has to be built on Packman anyway. Oh well, the maintainer always has to be triggered to update the package
okay. Think i have a solution. New will send a new request.
