Inline comment for target: 'openSUSE:Factory/caddy', file: 'caddy.changes', and line: 7.
so you have sysusers - then you don't need to manually provide user() / group() symbols. They are supposed to be autodetected in this case (make sure sysuser-tools is BuildRequired); a group with the name of the user is also implicit IIRC
So Factory has a bug in the scripts because I got this:
Factory Maintainer wrote in package openSUSE:Factory/caddy:
Installcheck problems for x86_64
nothing provides group(caddy) needed by caddy-2.7.6.x86_64
nothing provides user(caddy) needed by caddy-2.7.6.x86_64
I just saw that - somehow the prove script for the user is being disarmed in this package... will accept the change as-is for now and try to find out what is going on there
lovely:
%go_provides \ %if 0%{?suse_version} <= 1110 \ %global _use_internal_dependency_generator 0 \ %global __find_provides %{_prefix}/lib/rpm/golang.prov \ %global __find_requires %{_prefix}/lib/rpm/golang.req \ %endif
even though this is wrappen in an %if (which seems like LONG obsolete) it still actually disarms the scanner.
Dropping %go_provides from the spec makes it work as expected
