You could use following %if 0%{?sle_version} or %if 0%{?suse_version} > 1500 to avoid diverging from factory because of openssl3 vs openssl-1_1 I see that it's already used within specs of syslog-ng
We have this examle for repos https://github.com/openSUSE/openSUSE-repos/blob/main/dist/package/openSUSE-repos.spec#L47C1-L48C7
I double checked, and syslog-ng compiles with the expected feature set both on Leap and Tumbleweed from the very same Base:System/syslog-ng project. What should be changed?
my point was that we could keep single copy of source among Factory and leap project. Right know the rdiff shows the openssl handling and it coudl be avoided.
It is the same. Just changes to Tubmleweed were sent in three requests, the openssl fix still pending, while I only sent syslog-ng to Leap once I thought that no more changes are coming. So, by the end of the day both Leap and Tumbleweed should have a syslog-ng package built from the exact same spec file.
