I also took the opportunity to remove one rpmlint warning by adding the version number to the first line in the .changes files:

https://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/panoply/changelog.html does not exist anymore. It has changed to https://www.giss.nasa.gov/tools/panoply/changelog/

Please do a new request with corrected changelog, without cancelling the old request, and then choose the "superseed" option.

OK.
You do not need an additional changelog entry for re-submissions, as the superseded version does not show up anywhere. So you can just edit the changelog in-place by replacing the changelog entry rather than adding an additional entry. But it does not really matter, it is OK this way.
