Pardon me for interrupting - I was working on the ppd/tuned conflict, and stumbled across this request. Thanks for packaging this!
Might I suggest that the -ppd package
provides
power-profiles-daemon? I guess that, since so many other packages (eg kde and gnome) depend upon power-profiles-daemon, this newprovides
would be needed to drop tuned-ppd in its place, especially with theconflicts
added.Otherwise, it could be good to leave out the
conflicts
, so that both packages can be installed, but the user would need to mask power-profiles-daemon service... Or maybe you see some better solution? I will leave it in your capable hands and try tuned-ppd again soon. Thanks for your time.
