Overview
I can't see why this would be needed. the provides is in two packages, but there is a distro-wide preference to use version 3.0.
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Factory/minder builds successfully and picked the distro-preferred version of markdown:
> osc buildinfo openSUSE:Factory minder standard x86_64 | grep markdown <bdep name="libmarkdown-devel" version="3.0.0a" release="1.6" arch="x86_64" hdrmd5="b24e3b56ff1765a2c7ec6309dbe6e66c" project="openSUSE:Factory" repository="standard"/> <bdep name="libmarkdown3" version="3.0.0a" release="1.6" arch="x86_64" hdrmd5="f0ccef61fd2791a6793d4be4a33094ff" project="openSUSE:Factory" repository="standard"/>
