• _service files must attribute mode=manual
• you don't even need a _service file, because osc service mr download_files will work nevertheless
• testing for specific file strings sounds like a hazard, i mean just test for /sh in the output, don't bother with UTF-8ness

• Why "must"?
• I just want to assess that the download is a executable script and not something else (say for example some 404 HTML page), the file call does that for me.

"must" because there is a bot that will check these things. (And a 404 page won't normally include /bin/sh)
