Added 2 patches from upstream, adding them more or less brings us to current gitmaster. In no way, shape or form am I suggesting that we should push this to 12.3, but it would be nice to have for G:A for 12.3, particulary the notification patch. -- package installed and use-tested on a 12.2 + GS:3.6 system. NOT ported to gst-1.0 yet (forwarded request 157081 from dimstar)
