source should be pointing to upstream URLs where the tarball can be downloaded - this allows for verification of the shipped sources compared to what upstream published

All those parameter are implicit already in %configure

Any chance to move this also to python3? py2 is 'dying' (slowly... very slowly) and it would be nice to move new packages right up to py3
