@mrdocs, the soname was removed on purpose. This is not meant to be a library. This is an ODBC driver.
It is a library, but a special one, called a plugin ;-)
OK. But plugins like this don't use sonames?
The DT_SONAME field in the ELF file, whether that exists or not, is never used after building.
