Folding is only permissible when the ELF objects generated with libmutter only run with mutter itself
gnome-shell requires libmutter in plus - but the two are interlocked anyway; and gnome-shell also requires 'mutter' (sans lib) to run.. hence the future plan of possibly folding it...
I was thinking more of {something in the style of gedit plugins} where it may be allowable, not with mutter.
well, it's not done yet anyway - I'm still debating with myself if this would be the best approach. And the next time I'll really care will be in 6 months :)
