Alacritty is actually the fastest by several benchmarks, but I understand your point.

I've neutralized the description in the dev project. I'll reopen soon.

At the same time, there's https://github.com/jwilm/alacritty/issues/289 where people observe different behavior. Using the mpv test, I find that alacritty has some latency over xterm.

Even if it was the fastest, that would be a time-specific description; next year there could be an even faster other terminal, and then the description would be wrong again. So these things better stay out.

Agreed. I like the approach of staying as neutral and objective as possible. thanks for the link on benchmark findings

Also that mpv test is hilarious. didn't know mpv had that feature. It works well for me, guess some systems do better than others at this point
